What you\'ll be doing:
Help support our Bethanie staff in delivering much loved entertainment to our residents. Whether that be you performing at Happy Hour, joining in with a sing-along, or just playing a tune!
Why this matters:
Music therapy has been used to treat a number of conditions in people of all ages. Music can relieve stress, reduce anxiety and depression. It has the power to stimulate feelings of well-being by evoking memories and emotions. It\'s heart-warming and exciting to see our residents\' face light up when they hear a favourite song from their youth, or one that reminds them of friends and family.
The best bit?
You will be able to share your talent in a welcoming environment and help create a lively atmosphere where everyone feels included. Through regular ongoing visits, you will establish wonderful new friendships with residents. You will be guided in your role by the site\'s Therapy team with ongoing support from our Volunteer Services Team.

* Time Required: Days and times can be flexible as the activity can be scheduled based around your availability. We seek a minimum commitment of six months in this role.
* Training: Required: An on-site induction and completion of online courses through the Bethanie Learning Hub
