Based in the Speciality Facilities and Technical Services – Health function in the College of Health portfolio at the City East campus location.
Part-time (0.4FTE), continuing position.
Supporting Tuesday and Wednesday 9am – 5pm roster.
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for preparing the dental simulation clinic for learning and teaching activities and providing support to academic staff and students. Within the clinic, you will ensure effective, safe and hygienic laboratory practices, as well as monitoring, assisting and providing technical support with the use of equipment.
Team and role context
The Laboratory Teaching Support Officers work closely together to prepare the clinic for simulation classes designed for users to acquire and develop skills and knowledge required for dental practice within the School's undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing professional development programs.
Qualifications and experience
* Experience in a clinic or laboratory environment, preferably in a teaching or research setting
* Experience in infection control and sterilisation of laboratory tools and equipment
* Experience using specialised laboratory equipment, particularly in health or dental practice
* Proven ability to manage competing demands and prioritise tasks effectively
* Proven communication and problem-solving skills, with experience liaising with a range of stakeholders
