**Performance & Reward Analyst (12 month Fixed Term Contract)**

Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group's People strategy, facilitating talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement. Ensuring talent practices support relevant stakeholders and reflect HSBC values, the function reviews the people implications of business plans while delivering policies, projects, processes and activities in support of business objectives.
The role of Performance & Reward Analyst supports the Head of Performance & Reward and the Performance & Reward Manager to implement the performance and reward agenda in Australia and New Zealand by providing data-driven insights and support.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Reward**
- Keeping abreast of market remuneration practices, latest trends and competitor offerings
- Providing quality external market information and analysis to ensure our people are remunerated competitively
- Managing reward market data submissions
- Undertaking market benchmarking
- Supporting the annual pay review process including systems testing and support, analysis and reporting, data checks and partnering with Payroll.
- Managing regulatory reporting including the Workplace Gender Equality Agency compliance reporting.
- Managing other local reward initiatives, including gender pay reporting, annual minimum salary analysis and superannuation guarantee increase activities
- Conducting job levelling
- Supporting monthly reward governance activities
- Maintaining internal reward articles and intranet content
- Monitor and respond to employee queries
- Supporting other HR teams, including Payroll, Advisory, Talent and Resourcing & Onboarding to increase their Reward knowledge
**Performance Management**
- Supporting the implementation of the global performance management framework and providing local expertise
- Supporting the annual performance appraisal process to ensure all employees are provided with a year-end performance appraisal outcome in line with global guidelines.
**Benefits**
- Reviewing the competitiveness of benefits and increasing the awareness and uptake of available benefits to employees.
- Conducting regular reviews of current benefits policies to ensure content is up to date
- Engaging with new and existing external vendors to discover benefits available for HSBC staff including staff discounts and other initiatives
- Working closely with global and regional teams to deliver the global recognition program including producing usage reports, addressing employees' queries regarding the service recognition program and distributing the service recognition awards
Requirements
**INDIVIDUAL REQUIREMENTS**
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business, HR or Finance).
- Performance and Reward experience, ideally from Banking or consultancy background.
- Understanding of current reward trends
- Analytical and highly numerate, with an ability to interpret data from multiple sources and provide insights.
- Ability to develop and maintain reward models for use within Performance & Reward and by non-reward professionals
