We require a Sous Chef to join our team at The Cut Tavern in Wannanup.
We are a fast-paced tavern, so the position will require someone who can handle high volumes especially on the weekends.
You will be working closely with the head chef to maintain the kitchen procedures when he isn't here.
The position will be casual to start with, but with the option of moving into other roles in the future for the right candidate.
We also try to ensure a healthy work-life balance for our staff, with shifts arranged so staff have a bit of flexibility.
Selection Criteria
This role would suit a qualified chef with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial kitchen.
Requirements
Be reliable and able to work weekdays, nights, weekends.
Be competent in working in all aspects of cooking in a commercial kitchen, including in managing larders/stock and working with commercial fryers, pans etc.
Be able to work well within a team and take direction when needed.
Have experience working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen and dealing professionally with a high volume of orders.
Have their own transport to get to and from work.
Respects safety and takes precautions to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
All of the relevant trade certificates.
Express a true passion for food.
The Ideal Candidate will be a self-starter, motivated and eager to learn and develop.
