**What You'll Do**
In this role, you will assist in facilitating the return-to-work process by liaising with employees, line managers, and insurers. You will help manage the administration of worker injury claim forms, ensuring accurate data is reviewed and submitted. Your responsibilities will include updating incident registers and SharePoint folders with medical invoices, receipts, and certificates related to injury claims, as well as maintaining compliance registers. You will also support the generation of OHS reports and statistics for line managers and assist with the submission of Notifiable Incidents to WorkSafe, helping during inspections as needed. Additionally, you will monitor injured employees' Certificate of Capacity due dates and provide support to the OHS Business Partner in addressing OHS issues and risks.
**What You'll Bring**
We are looking for a motivated OHS Support Officer, ideally with relevant certificate-level qualifications or experience in a similar role supporting occupational health and safety outcomes. Previous experience in an administrative support position, particularly within a public sector environment, is preferred. The successful applicant will have experience in data entry and management, especially with incident registers and compliance records, along with a basic understanding of OHS legislation and compliance requirements. Familiarity with workplace injury rehabilitation processes and worker injury claim forms is advantageous. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite at a basic to intermediate level is essential for effective data management. Solid attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks while working under general supervision are key. We value a willingness to adapt and learn new processes and tools, as well as the judgment to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
