About the Role
This is a commercially focused Key Account Manager opportunity responsible for driving growth across a major national grocery customer. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning their portfolio end-to-end, shaping customer plans, and influencing cross‑functional projects that bring new products and category initiatives to market. You’ll play a key part in achieving both financial and strategic outcomes while contributing to a high‑performing, cooperative sales culture.
- Deliver revenue, margin and distribution objectives across a major grocery account;
- Lead monthly forecasting, performance reviews and customer‑level reporting to ensure targets are met;
- Build and execute joint business plans that support long‑term category and brand growth;
- Manage range reviews and drive distribution gains across core and emerging product categories;
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing changes and customer investment to maximise mutual value; and
- Monitor trade spend activity, evaluate ROI and run test‑and‑learn initiatives to optimise future plans.
Skills & Experience
- 1.5–2+ years’ experience in Key Account Management within FMCG;
- Background in any of the following is advantageous: Field Sales, Customer Service, Category Management, Trade Marketing or Consumer Marketing;
- Commercially minded with strong numerical capability and confidence in managing forecasts, budgets and customer performance;
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders;
- Experience using market data tools is highly valued; and
- Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce or marketing preferred.
