As an inspirational teacher and leader, you will value collaboration and outstanding achievement in academics and learning. With disciplinary expertise ideally in Physics (although Chemistry and Biology will be considered), you will be accomplished at teaching up to Year 12 and you will bring a passion for driving innovative, evidence-based and impactful science education across Year 7 to Year 12.
This is a full-time teacher position of added responsibility that commences from Term 1, 2026.
Key Responsibilities
 * Lead curriculum development for science and oversee the science department.
 * Drive innovative, evidence-based and impactful science education across Year 7 to Year 12.
 * Foster a culture of inquiry, collaboration and high academic achievement.
 * Supervise and collaborate with a team of science teachers and support staff.
 * Engage with students, families and the wider community to promote science education and opportunities.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
 * Strong curriculum and science department leadership skills.
 * Disciplinary knowledge across sciences.
 * International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme well regarded.
 * Ability to effectively work and build meaningful relationships with students, colleagues and the community.
 * Dedication to integrity, reliability, sound judgement, service and risk adversity.
 * Tertiary qualifications.
 * Teacher registration with the Queensland College of Teachers and current First Aid certification.
