Wood is seeking expressions of interest for Mechanical and/or Piping Designers of all levels and experience to join our operations team based in Gladstone.
Responsibilities
1. Executes discipline input to engineering projects.
2. Organises, executes, and coordinates assignments within agreed budget and schedule.
3. Ensures safe project execution and adherence to Safety in Design requirements.
4. Applicable role accountabilities to level of experience.
5. Contributes to innovative solutions to meet project objectives.
6. Ensures technically sound, fit-for-purpose solutions are developed and documented.
7. Liaisons, supports, and ensures timely transfer of information to other disciplines and functions.
8. Ensures Management of Change is carried out.
9. Works within the provisions and guidelines of Wood's Quality Assurance systems.
Qualifications
What makes you remarkable?
1. Associate or Advanced Diploma or equivalent in 3D/2D Mechanical/Piping design/drafting.
2. Design drafting experience, qualified with proven experience, predominantly in the Oil & Gas or Mining/Mineral sectors.
3. Experience may include conceptual, FEED, detailed design, and site construction experience.
4. Experience may be in design, operation, construction/commissioning, and general engineering of oil and gas, metals/mining plant facilities.
5. Capable of communicating and interfacing effectively with other disciplines, project managers, and clients’ representatives.
6. Proven understanding and application of applicable Australian and International Codes & Standards.
7. Competency in E3D (PDMS) software; other 3D software includes Smartplant, Microstation.
8. Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD.
