Western Haematology & Oncology Clinic (WHOC) was designed with patient involvement.
All 14 treatment bays offer patients a relaxing view of Totterdell Park, which links to our wellness through cancer care philosophy.
We offer onsite specialist consulting suites, pathology collection, laboratory, compounding pharmacy, Perth Blood Institute clinical trials unit, and allied health services (including Dietician, Physiotherapy, and Clinical Psychology).
The Role
The Patient Services Assistant works under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager to provide a high standard of clinical and patient support services, environmental cleaning and catering services.
The role of this position is to deliver a high standard of patient support services and environmental cleaning to assist the hospital to meet its clinical, operational business and strategic, legislative, and health care standards and objectives.
Currently this position is required to work on Tuesday & Thursdays (7am – 2.30pm) as a start, though this is subject to increase depending on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Previous experience working in private hospitals in a patient care support role.
Aware of the relevant legislative requirements and governing body reporting responsibilities of hospitals including infection control standards.
Understanding of the importance of individual, team and company values and behaviours that impact on a positive culture and customer outcomes.
General experience in food handling and preparation with current food Safety Certificate (or equivalent).
Previous experience in Hospitality/Cleaning services.
Qualification And Skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete allocated tasks to a high standard.
Demonstrate ability to organise their time to meet the clinic while maintaining high standard of cleaning, catering and patient support standards.
Proven ability to work in a team with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to caring about people, doing the right thing and serving their needs.
You must be eligible to work in Australia – no visa application sponsorship will be undertaken.
Certificate III in Health Service Assistance (desirable)
