Our client is a leading provider of transport maintenance services across Australia. Due to ongoing contracts, we are seeking multiple skilled Mechanical Trades to based in their Newcastle based Workshop.
What's Involved?
* Machine Operating - Lathes and Borers
* Building Brakes
* Strip and reassemble wheel sets from the Rail Industry
* Mount and overhaul bearings
* Operating a wide range of hand and power tools
* Collaborating as part of a dynamic team
What We're Looking For:
* Any Mechanical Trade - Light Vehicle Mechanics, Mechanical Fitters or Plant Mechanics
* A great attitude and willingness to learn
* Rail maintenance experience is highly regarded, but not essential
* Forklift ticket is a plus
* Must be able to pass a Rail Category Medical
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
What We Offer You:
* $58.81 - $62.40 per hour (casual rate based on experience)
* Day shift (Monday - Friday)
* Machine Specific Training provided
* Overtime available
* Ongoing work with the potential for a permanent position
* Opportunity for afternoon shifts
* Potential for further training and upskilling
* Based in Newcastle
