Yourtown is a trusted provider of services for young people, focusing on mental health and wellbeing, prevention of youth suicide, child protection, and support for those experiencing domestic and family violence.

yourtown invites you to realise your potential and lead our Domestic and Family Violence Service at a confidential location in the Scenic Rim.

About the Role

As a senior leader, you will manage and lead the delivery of a refuge that offers short‐term accommodation, transitional housing, therapeutic support, and practical assistance to women and children escaping domestic and family violence.

Responsibilities

* Lead and manage a high‐performing team.
* Manage the delivery of services at the refuge, including oversight of facilities and site operations, ensuring safety, security and compliance.
* Manage the Transitional Housing program, ensuring improved outcomes for families transitioning from refuge to independent living.
* Manage external funding, represent yourtown in regional networks, forums and conferences, and build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders.
* Manage budgets, measure and report on program outcomes and achievements.
* Lead the continuous improvement of service delivery.
* Oversee safeguarding and legal collaborative case reviews.
* Manage client safety and safety plans, assess and mitigate ongoing dynamic risks, de‐escalate resident dynamics and resolve conflicts.
* Participate in an effective after‐hours response.

Qualifications & Experience

* Passion, commitment and belief in young people.
* Relevant degree‐level qualification and a minimum of 5 years' experience working with victims of trauma and/or managing a diverse human services team.
* Demonstrated understanding of and ability to develop effective service responses for women and children who have experienced domestic and family violence.
* Demonstrated skills and experience in managing risk and safety.
* Demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve program goals and performance targets.
* Experience supervising therapeutic practice, managing performance and fostering a culture of ongoing development.
* Experience in managing budgets and developing strategic and operational plans.
* Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively and establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to participate in the back‐up on‐call roster, including the ability to return to site if required.
* Experience working in a refuge environment is strongly preferred.
