Job Overview
We are seeking a Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our advisory, tax and business accounting teams, you will be responsible for providing customized solutions for tax and accounting matters.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, with the ability to manage competing work priorities and meet deadlines. They will also need to understand the importance of using initiative and drive to continuously strive for best outcomes and solutions.
* Perform tax and accounting-related functions across the business.
* Prepare income tax returns, BASs, IASs, and financial statements.
* Handle CGT, FBT, Division 7A, and other tax compliance matters.
* Assist with SMSF financials and tax returns.
* Review junior staff work and mentor (Senior role).
* Manage client relationships and proactively offer business solutions.
* Perform bookkeeping, payroll, superannuation, and WorkCover processing.
* Apply knowledge of relevant taxation legislation to ensure compliance.
Qualifications & Requirements
In order to excel in this position, you should possess:
* IPA / CA / CPA qualification, or currently studying.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in public practice taxation.
* Strong skills in interpreting and applying tax compliance regulations.
* Proficient in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and BGL 360.
* Excellent technical and communication skills.
* Willingness to learn, grow, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
