Job Title: Clinical Care Specialist

About Our Service:

We provide a streamlined approach to support better mental health and social wellbeing across the country.

Our service is tailored to the needs of the community in regional NSW and provides a combination of peer-led recovery and clinical support.

We provide a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for people experiencing psychological distress, providing an alternative to presenting to the Emergency Department for low risk individuals, and allowing them to access support from trained mental health professionals within their community, outside a clinical setting.


Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver high quality evidence based clinical care as a member of the multidisciplinary team to achieve better health outcomes for adults aged 18 years and over who experience mental health concerns and their families and carers.

Main Duties include:

* Conduct intake and assessments. Including risk assessments, care treatment planning, care coordination with internal & external services, and provide brief psychological intervention.


Requirements:

* Must have one of the following: Full AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse, General or Provisional AHPRA registration as a Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist OR AASW registration/eligibility as a Social Worker (would suit graduate Social Worker wanting to build skills in the mental health field).
* Must have flexibility to work afternoons & evenings, weekends and public holidays.
* Knowledge & understanding of the theory underpinning evidence-based interventions & clinical practice as well as demonstrated excellence in the practical application of such, in the areas of mental health and alcohol and drug use.
* Highly developed communication (including written) and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to engage with people, advocate on their behalf and establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, families & friends and stakeholders.
* Experience in the use of electronic client/customer management systems, ability to use a desktop computer, and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
* Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC.
* Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance.
