Financial Accountant The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Accountant to join our Group Finance team in Toowong on a 12-month contract.
You will play a key role in assisting the Finance Manager with the accounting function for several companies within Auto General, maintaining best-practice control and ensuring seamless delivery to operational finance.

Key aspects of our team include: Collaborative and inclusive culture Opportunities for professional development and growth Rewarding and challenging work environment Commitment to safeguarding a brighter future for our customers, our people, and the broader community Key Responsibilities Preparation of monthly management reports and annual financial statements Processing journals, including accruals, prepayments, and provisions General ledger reconciliations Analysis of company expenditure Management reporting pack preparation Review and approval of AP/AR workflows P L review, cost allocation, and analysis Assistance with the annual external audit Support the business with financial enquiries Assist with ad-hoc projects as required Seek continuous improvement of financial accounting processes Comply with workplace health safety protocols Qualifications Experience Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, working towards or newly CPA/CA qualified Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounting role within a commercial or chartered environment Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, Gmail, and an integrated financial software package Experience with business intelligence software Self-motivated, efficient, and able to work autonomously Strong team player with initiative and attention to detail Our Perks Location: Toowong – Close to public transport, easy parking, excellent end-of-trip facilities (bike storage, showers), outdoor spaces, and modern collaborative work areas.
