**About the role**

We have an opportunity for a Manager - Claims to be part of our Workers Insurance team. The Manager - Claims provides direction, supervision, and support to the team in the delivery of claims management activities, payment of benefits, entitlements and reconciliation in accordance with the provisions under the relevant regulations and legislation (EPSS/POSS and Workers Compensation). In addition, this role implements compliance, quality assurance objectives and measures by working collaboratively with leaders, teams and technical advisors to implement process improvement changes, ongoing monitoring, staff training and development opportunities.

This exciting opportunity will allow you to utilise your expertise and grow your knowledge as we transition to the Enhanced Police Support Scheme (EPSS).

Reporting to the Manager Workers Insurance you will have experience in either Workers Compensation or Income Protection Insurance claims to lead and manage a large growing team in a salary continuance type of environment.

Based in Parramatta with flexible working options currently offered, you will experience an inclusive, friendly culture where collaboration, knowledge-sharing and diversity is supported. Key aspects of the role include:

- Providing trusted advice to ensure accuracy of claims processing and establishment of efficient claims processes.
- Managing EPSS claims consistent with legislation, regulations, internal standards, policies, and procedures.
- Driving continuous improvement in claims management and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Managing reporting and compliance obligations ensuring best practice across the business.
- Creating and improving claims handling procedures and guidelines as required.
- Delivering coaching and mentoring of executing assessment practices ensuring timely and quality management of claims.
- Providing expert advice to establish governance structures and quality assurance to successfully deliver business solutions.
- Supporting escalations and resolving claims queries and disputes
- Supporting the team to use effective communication with customers, insurers, and other stakeholders to drive the best
- in-class customer service experience and claim outcomes for the officers.
