Job Title: Compliance Assurance Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Assurance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support compliance with the Telecommunications Act, Surveillance Devices Act, and Crimes Act.
* Assist investigators in meeting legislative compliance requirements by providing advice and vetting draft documentation.
* Provide assistance to investigators and engage with the Australian Designated Authority in relation to International Production Orders.
* Process and manage all Warrants under the Telecommunications Act and Surveillance Devices Act for the life cycle of the warrants and prepare requests for evidentiary material for court purposes.
* Compliance and processing historical and prospective telecommunications data authorisations.
* Ensure compliance with industry assistance requests, facilitate non-telecommunications related enquiries.
* Coordinate engagement with the Office of the Commonwealth Ombudsman and the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security (IGIS) for inspections.
* Provide post-warrant advice and support to operations to ensure compliance with statutory reporting.
* Support compliance with the Controlled Operations under the Crimes Act.
* Provide advice on the relevant legislation, maintain the governance framework for Controlled Operations, and collate the legislated reporting requirements for Controlled Operations and Account Takeover Warrants.
* Proactively build and manage good working relationships with relevant stakeholders (both internal and external).
* Contribute innovative ideas to enhance processes in support of team objectives.
* Provide mentoring and training to other team members, including sharing innovation and knowledge.
* Undertake administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
* Australian Citizenship at the time of application.
* Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
* Strong customer service and communication skills.
* Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload.
* Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment.
* Mentor and develop other team members through knowledge/skills transfer.
Desirable Skills:
* Knowledge of relevant Commonwealth legislation.
* Ability to work in a remote team environment (if required).
* Ability to perform on-call on a rotating roster to provide afterhours support for operational requirements (if required).
