About The Role
We're seeking an experienced Technology Superintendent to lead operational technology (OT) and site systems at South Walker Creek. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability and performance of all technology infrastructure that supports critical mining operations.
You'll lead a small site-based team, partner with operations, maintenance and the broader technology function, and drive improvement across networks, wireless systems, mining fleet technologies, radios, CCTV and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the onsite Technology Team
* Ensure availability and performance of all OT and site systems
* Support technology needs across mining, processing and maintenance
* Oversee in-pit wireless backhaul, Rajant/Cambium networks, Motorola/Tait radios, CCTV and mining technology systems
* Deliver minor technology projects and enhancements
* Act as the escalation point for site technology issues
* Ensure adherence to technology standards, enterprise architecture and change management
* Monitor system performance and user experience
* Drive continuous improvement and modernisation of site technology
* Build strong relationships with site teams, contractors and vendors
* Champion safety and deliver high-quality outcomes
About You
You're a hands-on technology leader with strong operational experience and the ability to solve complex OT challenges in a mining environment.
You'll Bring
* 10+ years' experience in mining or heavy industry
* Experience with OT systems (Rajant, Cambium, Motorola/Tait, Minestar/Modular, Cisco)
* Proven leadership capability with small teams
* Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience delivering technology improvements or small projects
* Advanced Microsoft Office and SAP skills
* Australian working rights + National Police Check
Desirable: Experience with;
* Mining operations
* Mine planning
* IT Operations
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Technology, Business, Computer Engineering OR 15+ years' equivalent OT experience
