Job Description
We are seeking an Administrative Officer to provide administrative and secretarial support to the NSW Adult Congenital Heart Disease Service at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
The role will involve providing data entry, filing, reception, correspondence, telephone enquiries, appointment scheduling, scanning, billing, word processing, and other duties as directed by the Business Manager and Director of Adult Congenital Heart Disease.
About the Role
* This is a temporary full-time position available up to May 2026.
* The successful candidate will have knowledge of medical terminology (cardiology) and proficiency in digital/voice dictation typing at a minimum of 50 wpm.
* The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize tasks and work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Entry: Accurately enter patient information into the system.
2. Filing: Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems.
3. Reception: Provide high-level administrative support to the team.
4. Correspondence: Draft and edit documents, including letters, reports, and emails.
5. Telephone Enquiries: Respond to patient and staff queries in a professional and courteous manner.
6. Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate appointments and bookings for patients.
7. Scanning: Scan and digitize documents as required.
8. Billing: Process patient accounts and invoices.
9. Word Processing: Prepare and finalize reports, presentations, and other documents.
