About the Role
Summit Homes Group is seeking an experienced Concreters to join our residential construction team on a full-time basis. This role involves carrying out concreting works across new home builds and residential developments, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard in line with Australian building requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Erecting concrete formwork and laying steel reinforcing for residential slabs, footings, paths and driveways
* Pouring, spreading and levelling concrete using screeds and templates
* Tamping, smoothing, shaping and sealing concrete
* Operating trowelling machines to float, trowel and polish concrete surfaces
* Forming expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers and straight edges
* Installing fixtures in concrete such as anchor bolts, steel plates and door sills
* Wetting concrete and rubbing with abrasives to finish vertical surfaces
* Covering concrete with plastic sheeting and sand to assist curing
* Cutting lines in concrete using power cutters
* Applying colouring powders and other materials to freshly poured concrete where required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Proven experience as a Concreter within residential construction
* Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and site instructions
* Experience operating concreting tools, machinery and equipment
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Ability to work independently and as part of a site-based team
* Commitment to workplace health and safety standards
