The role
We're seeking a Senior Cloud Specialist to join a specialist Cloud Services team responsible for managing enterprise-scale ICT environments across data centres, networks, and private cloud platforms.
You'll play a key role in designing, supporting and optimising cloud infrastructure while working on modernisation initiatives and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert system administration and cloud support across enterprise environments
- Design, deploy and manage virtualised infrastructure (VMware/Broadcom stack)
- Identify and implement improvements, automation and risk mitigation strategies
- Support customer onboarding, solution design and cloud cost modelling
- Contribute to tenders, proposals and technical solution presentations
- Collaborate with stakeholders across government and internal teams
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with VMware/Broadcom platforms (vSphere, NSX‐T, vCloud Director, Aria Suite)
- Proven background in private cloud / on‐prem cloud environments
- Experience with automation, scripting & DevOps practices
- Solid understanding of networking, infrastructure & virtualisation
- Exposure to HPE / OneView and SAN environments highly regarded
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
About the Team
You'll be part of a cooperative Cloud Services team delivering secure, scalable and reliable ICT services across Queensland Government. The team operates in a multi‐tenant, enterprise environment supporting diverse customers and complex infrastructure.
