Offer description

The MAFI Mission: Where Faith Meets Innovation

Since 1945, MAFI has been delivering help, hope, and healing to isolated communities, bridging the gap between despair and renewal. With a fleet of 116 aircraft, we connect the world’s most remote regions with medical care, disaster relief, education, and the message of Christ. Behind every flight is a strong engineering team—and that’s where you come in.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It

You will lead the charge in creating and embedding a unified reliability engineering framework across MAF to boost aircraft availability, maintenance efficiency, and fleet safety. This involves identifying and managing data quality, analyzing failure trends, and driving root cause investigations. You will work closely with others, influencing fleet standards and maintenance programs, streamlining reports, and guiding key personnel to help turn data into smarter technical decisions. You will monitor and report on fleet-wide performance to meet regulatory standards, with occasional international travel (up to 2 weeks a year).

Location: Ashford - UK, or Cairns - Australia, but other locations will be considered.

Salary: Salary dependent on experience and location.

Requirements:

* Applicants must have the current, legal right to work in England or Australia.
* Acceptance of and adherence to MAF’s purpose, vision, and values is essential.

Key Responsibilities

You will develop and implement a reliability engineering framework to enhance aircraft availability, maintenance efficiency, airworthiness, and fleet safety. Your proactive approach will include:

* Identifying optimal data sources and defining data quality standards.
* Ensuring consistent data collection and reporting practices.
* Analyzing reliability trends and conducting root cause investigations.
* Collaborating with IT to automate data processes.
* Training and supporting Continuing Airworthiness teams.
* Evaluating failures, performing risk analyses, and identifying systemic issues.
* Building relationships with stakeholders to improve maintenance and logistics.
* Preparing and presenting reliability reports to meet standards and regulations.

This role involves participating in MAF’s spiritual life through prayer, biblical reflection, and embodying our evangelical Christian values.
