Castalia Performance operates a diverse range of businesses across Australia, including Aged Care and Retirement Living.
We seek an experienced Group Financial Controller to lead our finance team. This full-time position based in Burwood, VIC, requires strategic financial leadership and technical expertise to maintain our financial success.
The Responsibilities
Financial Management & Compliance
* Lead financial accounting functions, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate financial reporting.
* Budget analysis, forecasting, and data entry oversight, guaranteeing all deadlines are met.
Audit, Risk & Treasury Management
* Oversee external audits, manage financial risks, and implement risk management frameworks.
* Manage daily banking, cash control, supplier trading terms, and liquidity management.
* Ensure tax obligations for FBT, BAS, IAS, and PAYG are met.
Leadership & Strategic Finance
* Mentor and lead local and international finance teams while providing strategic financial insights to drive performance.
* Prepare Aged Care Quarterly Financial Reporting (QFR), Aged Care Financial Reporting (ACFR), and the Annual Prudential Compliance Statement (APCS).
* Liaise with Medicare & AN-ACC to resolve funding and subsidy discrepancies.
* Provide financial modelling support for revenue strategies, accommodation pricing (RAD/DAP), and capital planning.
Governance & Performance Reporting
* Review aged care compliance, including KPI reporting and quarterly reports.
* Develop and oversee Liquidity Management Strategy, compliance, and prudential governance.
Business Partnering & Financial Analysis
* Conduct financial analysis for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
The Successful Team Member
* Holds a qualification in accounting (CPA or CA) or related field with 10+ years of experience.
* Demonstrates a proven track record in senior financial management, preferably within a multi-entity or group structure.
* Displays commercial acumen and ability to communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
* Is proficient in the use of financial software and data analysis tools.
* Possesses strong communication, time management and organisational abilities with high attention to detail.
