The Queensland Audit Office is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Auditor-General. In this critical leadership position, you will be responsible for establishing, shaping, and leading a new portfolio that addresses the evolving assurance needs of the organization.
* Job Description:
* As Assistant Auditor-General, you will report directly to the Auditor-General and play a key role in enhancing public sector management and accountability through auditing and reporting results to entities and parliament.
* You will also contribute to the Executive Leadership Team's collective stewardship of the QAO, providing insights to over 600 state and local government clients on how to deliver better public services for Queenslanders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, such as accounting, finance, or business administration.
* Extensive leadership experience in auditing and assurance activities, with a strong understanding of public sector policies and procedures.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
