Job Title:
Responsible Investments Manager
Job Description:
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in advancing our commitment to net zero by 2050. You will lead the implementation and ongoing enhancement of our climate risk management and sustainability reporting framework, aligning with Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (AASB S1 & S2).
This position optimises long-term net investment returns for members by embedding climate risk and sustainability into investment processes. Conduct scenario testing, emissions analysis, and financial modelling to mitigate risks and identify opportunities that strengthen portfolio resilience and performance.
The Opportunity:
Lead the enhancement, implementation, and management of our climate risk management framework in alignment with AASB S1 & S2. Develop and apply robust climate-related processes, including quantitative scenario analysis, stress testing, and physical and transition risk assessments across the portfolio.
Apply advanced statistical and mathematical modelling to quantify climate-related financial impacts and address sustainability challenges, while identifying and prioritising decarbonisation opportunities to evolve our transition plan in support of our net zero by 2050 commitment.
Conduct financial modelling and due diligence for renewable energy and low-carbon technology investments, and leverage AI and machine learning for predictive modelling, data analysis, and automated reporting.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Finance, Engineering, Data Science); postgraduate qualifications (Masters/PhD) highly regarded.
* Minimum 5–7 years' experience in climate-related financial analysis, scenario modelling (e.g., DCF, stress testing), emissions data validation, and sustainability reporting within superannuation, institutional investment, or asset management.
* Experience in GHG emissions accounting (Scope 1, 2, 3) using recognised standards (GHG Protocol, ISO 14064), and tracking net-zero targets, energy efficiency, and renewable energy metrics.
* Proven ability to apply ESG frameworks (e.g., AASB S1/S2, ISSB, TCFD, CSRD, SBTi), conduct climate stress testing, and meet reporting and assurance requirements.
* Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Excel (Advanced), Tableau or Power BI, and experience with ESG platforms (e.g., SASB Navigator, MSCI ESG Manager, GRESB).
* Familiarity with climate risk tools (e.g., PACTA, XDI) and geospatial data for portfolio risk assessment.
* CapEx/OpEx forecasting, ROI modelling for climate-related investments, and integration of sustainability data into enterprise systems and governance frameworks.
* Experience leading cross-functional projects and engaging with senior stakeholders on climate strategy and reporting.
* Strong communication, project management, and organisational skills; detail-oriented with a proactive approach and ability to manage multiple priorities.
About This Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our organisation's sustainability goals. If you are passionate about reducing carbon emissions and driving positive change, we encourage you to apply.
