Civmec are currently seeking Experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our Construction division working on a 2 : 1 DIDO roster.
This is a great opportunity to join our team and be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering both Civil and SMP packages on a long term project.
The Role
Conduct fault finding for breakdowns
Maintain stock of hydraulic mechanic electronic and pneumatic materials
Assemble metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipment
Complete mechanical checklists and weekly inspections of plant and machinery
Conduct marking and lining out
Conduct pre-start checks on plant and equipment hand tools tooling and equipment prior carrying out the task
Maintain and keep tools and equipment in a safe area.
Lock them away or return to store when not required
Follow quality control systems and techniques
Housekeeping
Perform other general duties as required
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following :
Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
RIIWHS204D or RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights (within 2 years of issue)
RIIWHS202D or RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Space(within 2 years of issue)
Previous experience on construction projects
Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
High Risk Work Licence (EWP) Preferred although not mandatory
