Maintenance Supervisor Job Description
At our agricultural operations, we are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. This hands-on leadership role will support the development of large-scale farming systems by maintaining farm plant and equipment, leading repairs, and contributing to the design and improvement of machinery and infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities:
* Maintaining and repairing farm plant and equipment to minimize downtime
* Developing a workshop maintenance plan and documentation
* Leading the safe and timely delivery of workshop and field maintenance tasks
* Assisting in the design, modification, and installation of new and existing farming equipment
* Protecting and maintaining company assets across multiple farm sites
* Contributing to maintenance budgets and capital expenditure planning
* Supporting safety systems, processes, and training in line with WHS requirements
* Acting as a role model for safe and ethical work behavior
* Supervising or working independently across various farm locations
Requirements:
* Certificate III or higher in an Engineering trade (mechanical)
* At least 5 years of relevant trade experience, ideally in an agricultural setting
* Strong skills in plant maintenance, troubleshooting, and fabrication
* Experience with farm irrigation systems, GPS, and machinery (preferred)
* Sound computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Current C-class driver's licence
* Forklift licence (required)
* Additional tickets (crane, loader, rigger/dogger) are advantageous
* Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
