Production Manager for Live Theatre
We are seeking a seasoned Production Manager to oversee the set up and delivery of our upcoming production of The Lion King. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to join our team in a producing office role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage production budgets, including operating and move budgets
* Support the Director-Production-APAC in managing employment contracts for cast, touring crew, and musicians
* Manage contracts for vendors, including accommodation providers, rehearsal rooms, and event teams
* Assist with scheduling and time line requirements for productions
* Oversee all production PR-related activity and manage delivery as required
* Work with the Company Management team to deliver weekly production payroll
* Ensure all regulations are met for the safe employment of children in productions
* Vendor relationship management and oversee payment processing
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Minimum five years' experience in the theatre industry, with experience working in a producing office or in Company Management
* Proven relationship management skills, including management of external vendors/partners
* Knowledge of the creative process in live theatre
* Excellent time management, project management, and organisation skills
* Ability to prioritise and multi-task in a hectic work environment with competing demands
* Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal
* Pro-active and self-starting, able to work without daily supervision
* Strong Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
