We’re passionate about our people and our environment, and we’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our close-knit team in Chinderah.
Role Overview:
This part-time position is ideal for someone with solid accounting experience, who is ready to make a real impact by supporting our finance team with key accounting tasks. If you're ready to take on a variety of responsibilities in a dynamic environment, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
* Process and manage monthly Fuel Rebate claims
* Support balance sheet reconciliations and cost variance analysis
* Prepare and process journal entries, accruals, and month-end adjustments
* Conduct General Ledger and Sub Ledger reconciliations
* Assist with month-end accounting and financial close processes
* Contribute to budgeting, financial forecasting, and P&L analysis
* Help prepare for year-end audits and financial reviews
* Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Receivable as needed
* Reconcile payroll on a weekly/monthly basis
What We’re Looking For:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping
* A minimum of a Diploma in Accounting or equivalent qualification
* Previous experience with ERP/Accounting systems (NAV preferred) but not essential
* Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
