The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Practice Administrator to join our Public Sector team in Canberra on a permanent, full time basis. This role will see you provide high level support to our Partner,
Caroline Bush
, and a team of lawyers in this busy litigation practice.
You must be eligible to obtain a BASELINE security clearance.
Key responsibilities
In this varied and busy role you will be responsible for:
- Drafting, reviewing and preparing correspondence/documentation
- Managing all incoming correspondence, as well as providing a proactive and efficient approach to producing correspondence without direction
- Organising meetings and travel, including a proactive approach to reorganising commitments on a needs basis
- Manipulation of complex documents
- General accounts, reporting and preparation of monthly billing
- Collating monthly bills and providing to clients
- Preparation and completion of various weekly and monthly client reports
- Liaising with clients with respect to any queries/questions they have in relation to the content of the client reports
- Administrative tasks such as expense recording and reconciliation, making travel arrangements, room bookings and other tasks as required by the Partner and lawyers you support.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Sound administration experience supporting senior stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, and strong client service focus
- An ability to prioritise your time across a number of busy matters
- Document production skills
- Experience with Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Aderant (preferable)
- Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritise urgency of work
- Ability to work part of a team and have a flexible and adaptable approach
- Ability to anticipate Partner requirements to reduce administrative time
- Previous experience working with time recording and billing systems highly desirable.
