About the Role:
This key position leads and mentors a team of qualified technicians and apprentices, overseeing daily workflow, job allocation, and repair order management. The ideal candidate will possess proven leadership skills, strong technical expertise, and excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversight of daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow and effective job allocation.
* Mentoring and developing a team of technicians and apprentices, promoting skill development and excellence.
* Conducting quality control inspections and diagnostics to ensure accuracy and precision.
* Supporting hands-on servicing and repairs where required, driving safety, compliance, and workshop efficiency.
* Liaising with members, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain RAC's reputation for quality and care.
Requirements:
* Automotive trade qualification (Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology).
* C-Class Driver's Licence and Motor Vehicle Repairer's Licence.
* Proven leadership skills, with ability to motivate, guide, and develop a team.
* Strong technical expertise in servicing, diagnostics, and fault-finding.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
