About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive HR professional to join their team on a 12 month fixed contract with strong possibility of extension, in a key role supporting operations across a diverse and growing business. Acting as a trusted partner to leaders, you will deliver high-quality, front-line HR support across the full employee lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to influence people strategies, enhance employee engagement, and drive best-practice HR processes in a dynamic, operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Advisory
* Provide timely, practical HR advice across employee relations, performance, and workplace matters
* Interpret and apply relevant legislation, Modern Awards, and company policies
* Support managers through performance management, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution
Recruitment & Onboarding
* Manage end-to-end recruitment across multiple business units
* Partner with hiring managers to attract and secure top talent
* Coordinate onboarding and induction to ensure a seamless employee experience
Employee Relations & Engagement
* Support resolution of employee matters including conduct, absence, and grievances
* Contribute to initiatives that improve engagement, retention, and culture
* Maintain accurate documentation and registers relating to employee matters
Compliance & Reporting
* Ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act, WHS legislation, and relevant industrial instruments
* Maintain accurate HR records and support payroll-related compliance
* Contribute to reporting, systems integrity, and continuous process improvement
Learning & Development
* Partner with leaders to identify training needs and capability gaps
* Support delivery of training programs and development initiatives
* Contribute to broader talent and workforce planning initiatives
About You
* 4+ years' experience in a generalist HR role (HR Advisor / HR Business Partner level)
* Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business, or similar
* Strong knowledge of Fair Work legislation, Modern Awards, and HR best practice
* Experience across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management
* Exposure to payroll processes and HR systems (e.g. HR3 or similar)
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
Desirable
* Experience within blue-collar or operational environments
* Exposure to multiple Modern Awards
* Experience with HR reporting, analytics, and process improvement
