About you
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual who is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of disadvantaged children. As someone with experience working in youth services or human services, you have a natural ability to build trust, foster self-esteem, and guide children through life's challenges. You understand the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment where children can thrive, develop their emotional and social skills, and gain essential life skills.
You're someone who thrives in both independent and team settings, and you bring a high level of initiative to your work. Your ability to plan and facilitate engaging group activities allows you to connect with children and help them build essential psycho-social skills. You're adaptable and able to adjust your approach based on the needs of the children, ensuring that each individual feels valued and supported.
Whether you're working with a child one-on-one or facilitating group activities, you lead with empathy, patience, and a strong understanding of the developmental needs of young people. Your experience working with children from diverse or disadvantaged backgrounds gives you the insight to approach each situation with care and thoughtfulness, always prioritizing the safety and well-being of the children you work with.
