About the Position
We are excited to welcome a Practice Supervisor (Specialist Domestic & Family Violence) to the Intensive Family support (IFS) Services Team in Mackay. Lead and support a multidisciplinary team within the IFS program, providing expert guidance on child protection and domestic and family violence (DFV). You’ll strengthen Domestic Family Violence (DFV) capability across the team, build strong partnerships with external stakeholders, and ensure high-quality practice supervision. You will also work directly with a small number of families through targeted case work interventions. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of children and families.
* Level 6 SCHCADS Award.
* Salary range: $110,110 - $114,984 + Superannuation.
* Full-time, maximum term contract until 5 February 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop a passionate multidisciplinary team, provide supportive practice guidance, building capability through coaching, feedback and professional development.
* Drive high-quality child protection & DFV practice, offer specialist guidance on risk, safety and Safe & Together principles, empowering practitioners to deliver safe, effective, and trauma-informed support.
* Strengthen partnerships and community connections, work collaboratively with external stakeholders and DFV networks, promoting the IFS program and enhancing outcomes for families.
* Hold a small caseload to deliver evidence-informed interventions, contributing to meaningful change for children, young people and caregivers.
About You
* Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (allied health, social work, human services).
* Professional registration (if required).
* Membership of a relevant professional association (desirable).
* 5+ years’ experience in case management or therapeutic practice with families, preferably in a child protection setting.
* 3+ years’ Domestic Family Violence experience in specialist or generalist roles.
* Confident using the Safe & Together practice framework.
* Proven experience developing practitioners.
* Skilled at engaging, empowering and building trust with diverse clients and partners.
* Collaborative, values-driven team leader with a coaching mindset.
* Calm, resilient and effective in managing stress, emotions and conflict.
Other Requirements
* Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
* Current driver’s licence.
* Legal ability to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required).
