Position Overview: We are seeking a highly focused, detail-oriented, and motivated Mechatronics Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a passion for livestock equipment design, and the ability to work independently while ensuring project deliverables are met on time and with a focus on safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
· Designing livestock equipment using CAD software, ensuring designs meet technical specifications and industry standards.
· Updating and improving existing product designs and detailed drawings. Complete CAD file for approval.
· Assisting other engineers to define project scope, objectives, and design parameters.
· Assisting other engineers and production staff in the completion of design projects from conception to final draft and delivering project outcomes within specified timeframes.
· Hands-on involvement in practical projects, including prototyping development and testing.
· Contributing actively to design brainstorming sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Design and implement electrical systems for livestock equipment, including power distribution and control wiring.
· Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs and HMI systems using ladder logic.
· Installation of electrical systems and wiring in production.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
· Knowledgeable or proficient in CAD software for 2D and 3D design (preferably SolidWorks).
· Strong attention to detail and ability to translate technical requirements into practical designs.
· Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Proven organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in livestock equipment design.
· Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial setting is a plus.
· Experience with PLC programming and HMI configuration.
· Proficiency in electrical wiring, including power systems, control panels and distribution systems.
