Secure Critical Supply Chain Operations: Global Catering Leader
This is a high-impact, critical mission to reinforce the operational resilience of a major global leader in airline and airport catering services operating across Australia. We require a decisive leader ready for immediate deployment across nine strategic sites.
The role is a Senior BCP Consultant contract with an initial duration of three months, offering a strong potential for extension into Phase 2. The base location is flexible, allowing the consultant to be based in either NSW, VIC, or QLD.
Why This Role is Critical
You will be tasked with transforming the client's ability to withstand major disruptions. This involves integrating lessons from real-world events, such as a major recent cyclone, and securing complex food supply chains across nine key Australian airport catering facilities. Your findings and plans will directly impact flight operations and service delivery nationwide.
Your mission includes conducting rapid, detailed risk and gap analysis for nine major port locations (e.g., Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, etc.). You must vet and establish pre-arranged options for alternative commercial kitchens and ambient food holding locations at every site. A core output will be the creation of robust, site‑specific BCPs with clear activation protocols for operational teams. Finally, you will design and execute high‑fidelity simulation exercises to ensure plan effectiveness under pressure.
Who We Are Looking For
We need proven Sectoral Expertise, evidenced by five to eight years of experience in BCP, managing complex, multi‑site projects. Aviation or Emergency Services background is highly preferred, given the need for direct experience with critical, regulated operations like airline logistics.
Candidates must demonstrate technical mastery of the full BCP lifecycle (BIA, Risk Analysis, Testing).
While a Bachelor's degree is expected, professional certifications such as CBCP, MBCP, or CBCI are highly valued.
Strong soft skills, including exceptional stakeholder management and communication for executive reporting, are essential for success.
