Remote GP Position
We are looking for a qualified and experienced General Practitioner to work in a remote location in Mount Isa, QLD. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our patients and contributing to the growth and development of our organisation.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical governance, service development, and Medicare income generation. They will be expected to lead and motivate a team of health professionals, work sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and implement regular auditing to improve clinic practice.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of clinical governance, excellent interpersonal skills, and knowledge and experience in the Medicare Benefits Schedule. You will also need to be technology-savvy and able to perform comprehensive patient assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate clinical care and primary health care strategies.

Requirements:
* Qualified Medical Practitioner, holding unconditional current registration with AHPRA
* Eligible for unrestricted Medicare Provider Number
* Knowledge, understanding and sensitivity towards the social, economic, and cultural factors affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's health
* Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD) – essential
* Satisfactory police check – no serious Criminal/Court record
* Current Blue Card (working with children and young people) or willingness to apply for a Blue Card
* Willingness to work flexible hours as required, including the requirement to travel (by road and small plane), work and stay overnight in remote areas
