To support this, TAB Resources are looking to bring on a full time electrical project engineer.
About the Role
As a project engineer, you will work closely with the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer, assisting to execute site interface engineering activities. You will play a significant role in the successful delivery of major capital and operational projects. You will take part in the engineering design, planning, coordination and execution of multidisciplinary activities across the project lifecycle, from concept through to commissioning and handover. You will drive all necessary job site introduction processes to deliver equipment and personnel on schedule.
Key focus areas include the deployment of mining Ventilation Air Methane abatement systems, infrastructure upgrades, and bespoke engineering solutions that support the company's decarbonisation, green initiatives, safety, and operational efficiency goals.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
2-4 years' experience in project engineering within construction, mining, energy, or heavy industry.
Prior experience in multidisciplinary projects on either greenfield or brownfield sites.
Proficiency in design and project management tools: 2D and 3D CAD software (Autodesk or equivalent), Project scheduling (MS Project and/or Primavera P6).
Strong capabilities in Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Strong communication skills – able to discuss technical and operational topics professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Proactive work ethic with excellent time management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Project Engineering
Assist with multidisciplinary coordination across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation scopes.
Assist with the development and review of technical documentation including project scopes of work, drawings, specifications and studies.
Oversee fabrication, installation and commissioning activities, ensuring all works are executed safely and to specifications.
Track progress against milestones, manage change and support the Senior Project Engineer in delivering outcomes on time and within budget
Technical Support
Provide engineering input on HAZOPs and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, relevant legislation, regulations, and TAB Resources' internal frameworks.
Support the development and implementation of commissioning strategies, operational readiness plans, and handover documentation
Stakeholder and Contractor Management
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of engineering deliverables.
Coordinate with OEMs, EPCMs, and contractors, ensuring clear communication of requirements and timely resolution of issues.
Review work packs, ITPs, SWMS and technical queries.
Reporting and Documentation
Assist with maintenance of accurate project records, including engineering registers, change logs, and technical correspondence.
Assist with progress reports and risk updates to project leadership & stakeholders.
Contribute to project close-out activities; as-built documentation, final reports, and lessons learned.
Remuneration: $100k - $140k per year + super
