Aircraft Tooling and GSE Engineer
This is a challenging opportunity to influence the full life cycle of aircraft tooling assets.
Serve as design authority for aircraft tooling.
Create and manage maintenance tasks, repair, and modification programs.
Oversee tooling compliance to Australian and international standards.
Liaise with OEMs to manage and extend tooling maintenance life.
Lead engineering investigations and failure analysis for tooling issues.
Monitor tool performance, develop improvement strategies, and assess tool reliability.
Implement 3D modelling (CAD) in design validation.
Research and assess advanced manufacturing for tooling innovation.
Ensure due diligence through rigorous performance verification and testing.
Manage the introduction of new tooling assets from concept to deployment.
Maintain deviation tracking systems for OEM spec variations.
This role requires strong technical skills, including knowledge of 3D modelling, FEA, and advanced manufacturing. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Professional registration as an engineer in Australia or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
