**About the role**:
InfraBuild is Australia's only fully vertically-integrated steel manufacturer spanning scrap metal recycling, steel manufacturing and downstream distribution. As a Trading Manager, you will be leading the Trading Team and direct the Branch Managers for cost efficient and timely ferrous scrap metal trading as well as coordinating delivery to nominated InfraBuild Recycling facilities. You will contribute to operational safety as well as driving excellence in customer service. This role is based out of Laverton and western suburbs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of trader account managers to maximise market share Victoria
- Overseeing a portfolio of existing accounts as well as developing new business
- Developing rapport with customers, tailoring our products and service offerings to their specific needs and addressing their issues
- Identifying and implementing any continuous improvement initiatives across the state
- Prioritising work demands to manage customer retention and satisfaction
- Negotiating quotes and managing bespoke customer requirements
- Contributing to sales presentations and tender reviews/submissions
**About your experience**:
You will be a confident leader with an ability to work efficiently with a cross-functional team as well as manage key customer relationships. To be successful in this role you will also have:
- A track record of successfully leading sales teams
- Previous experience in scrap metal trading or the waste industry highly desirable
- Ability to influence outcomes with various stakeholder groups to achieve strategic objectives
- Be able to identify opportunities for growth or improvement across a complex business
