A great contract opportunity is available for an experienced Finance Officer to join a busy finance team in Port Adelaide. Reporting to the Manager, Quality Compliance, the Finance Officer is responsible for delivering accurate finance support and high-quality client service across a busy operational environment. The role calls for a professional who can manage enquiries with care and consistency, build strong stakeholder relationships, and support the integrity of key financial processes, while working with autonomy and strong attention to priorities. The role You will support a range of finance activities, including unclaimed monies processing, client enquiries, financial accounting support, reconciliations, reporting and data analysis. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to manage deadlines in a structured environment. Key responsibilities include: • Processing lodgements and claims relating to unclaimed monies • Responding to written and verbal enquiries • Investigating and resolving bank, payroll and expense reconciliation exceptions • Assisting with financial reporting, project work and data analysis • Delivering accurate work in a high-volume, deadline-driven setting What you will bring: • Degree qualifications in Accounting, Finance or equivalent • Experience in financial reporting and accounting • Strong attention to detail and numerical skills • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines • Strong communication skills • Intermediate Word and Excel capability • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Highly regarded: • Experience with TRUMPS and Cadency • Finance project work experience • Knowledge of public sector finance frameworks and processes Please note: • A current National Police Clearance is mandatory • Contract runs through to 25 September 2026 • Based in Port Adelaide This is an excellent opportunity to step into a busy contract role where you can contribute immediately and add value from day one.
