Job Description About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team and work closely with our Group Financial Controller to drive excellence in financial reporting and compliance. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in preparing month-end reports, analyzing budget variances, recommending process improvements and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations. Your attention to detail, strong analytical skills and commitment to meeting deadlines will be essential in this role. Interviews with shortlisted applicants will be conducted in early January 2026. Key Responsibilities: Support Group Financial Controller in preparing month-end reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements. Drive improvement in accounting processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual interventions. Track, report, and analyse budget variances, recommending changes to improve financial performance. Assist in providing accurate financial reports to management and support the annual audit process. Perform monthly journals, reconciliations, and assist with inventory transaction processing and reporting. Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and preparation of BAS and FBT returns. Review and process expense reports, maintain asset control and assist with ad-hoc projects and reporting. What You'll Bring: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting. Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a medium to large commercial company. CPA/CA qualification essential; audit background preferable but not essential. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and financial reporting, including a working knowledge of IAS. Familiarity with local, state and federal laws regarding accounting, finances and taxation, particularly FBT and GST. Proficiency in relevant accounting software and advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Commitment to high work standards and ethics.
