Ellerslie Farms Group operates one of the largest poultry farms in Australia. We are based at Millmerran, an hour west of Toowoomba in Queensland. Our operations cover the full supply chain from chick rearing, grain production, stock feed milling, egg grading and poultry production. Our layer systems include Cage, Cage-free, Free Range and Organic. We have in-house service teams for bird vaccination, relocation, veterinary and nutrition services. The Role
You will work efficiently and cohesively within a team on a rotating roster, ensuring the safe operation of equipment provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform transport duties in accordance with established work schedules.
- Ensure all processes minimise waste and maximise productivity.
- Inspect and maintain vehicles and equipment in line with established practices.
- Communicate respectfully with all business partners and follow reasonable directions on a day-to-day basis.
- Complete documentation accurately and thoroughly where applicable.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
- Participate in training to maintain high skill and knowledge levels.
- Understand and comply with workplace health and safety, quarantine and bio-security standards.
About You
- Possess the relevant HR Truck Licence, with sufficient operational experience.
- Have a can-do attitude and work cooperatively to meet daily requirements.
- Be accountable for the work completed.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills.
- Show attention to detail to follow policies, procedures and SOPs.
- Ensure regulatory compliance where applicable.
What else you’ll need
- A passion for Agriculture and genuine interest in working in a rural area.
- Sufficient literacy and numeracy skills.
- A valid driver’s license and your own transport.
- Robust physical fitness with the ability to work extended shifts.
