Northern Coalfields Community Care Association Ltd (NCCCA), a respected and long-standing provider of aged care services in the Hunter Valley, is currently seeking a skilled and committed individual to join our Board of Directors.

NCCCA is a not-for-profit organisation that has served the aged care needs of the Hunter Valley community for over four decades. We provide high-quality residential, home, and community care with a strong focus on dignity, respect, and person-centred support.
About the Role
As a Board Director, you will play a key role in the strategic direction and governance of NCCCA. Working collaboratively with fellow Board members and the Executive team, you will help ensure the organisation continues to provide safe, quality, and sustainable aged care services to the local community.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the strategic oversight and governance of NCCCA.
Monitor organisational performance against key goals and compliance requirements.
Provide guidance and oversight on financial, legal, and clinical governance matters.
Support the CEO and executive team with advice, expertise, and leadership.
Act as an ambassador for NCCCA within the community and with stakeholders.
Uphold and promote the mission, values, and integrity of the organisation.
Desired Skills and Experience
We are particularly seeking individuals with experience in the aged care, health, or community services sectors coupled with professional expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Information Technology (IT) – digital transformation, cybersecurity, aged care systems
Human Resources (HR) – workforce planning, recruitment, employee engagement
Property & Building – capital works, asset management, aged care infrastructure
Marketing & Communications – brand strategy, stakeholder engagement, digital marketing.
Additional desirable attributes:
Board or governance experience (AICD qualifications desirable but not essential)
Strong understanding of compliance, risk, and regulatory frameworks
Demonstrated commitment to community-focused service delivery.
Commitment
This is a governance position. Board meetings are held monthly in the Hunter Valley region, with committee involvement as required.
