15th April, 2025Cobram Estate Olives (CBO) is searching for a Diesel Mechanic to join the team at our Boort Grove.
The role will work closely with fellow team members in preventative and emergency maintenance of a large variety of horticultural equipment such as our distinctive Colossus Olive Harvesters and including a fleet of utes, mules, tractors, and various implements.
The RoleThe role will be based at Cobram Estate's Olive Grove in Boort, Victoria, and report to the Maintenance Manager.
Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Regularly inspecting and performing routine preventative maintenance on all operational farm equipment such as our fleet of Olive Harvesters Colossus XL, tractors, Mules, utes, slashers, sprayers, mechanical skirting machines, harvest trailers, and various other machinery across 2 sites.Diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance of hydraulic systems, minor automotive electrical repairs/installs, diesel engines, and emissions systems.Skills & ExperienceThe successful candidate will have a positive attitude and willingness to perform a variety of duties, coupled with the following experience and attributes:
Australian recognized trade completion certificate desirable but not essential (various trades accepted).Experience working on farming, harvesting, earthmoving equipment, engineering, maintenance, mining operations, trades & services, or construction.High technical skills on diverse workshop equipment.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.A self-starter who can take initiative and work efficiently both independently and within a team.The Company & ValuesCobram Estate Olives is Australia's largest producer and marketer of premium quality extra virgin olive oil.
