Job Title: Shutdown Operations Supervisor
Cockburn Cement is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our reliability team in Munster, WA. This role oversees contract works during shutdowns and major maintenance windows across WA operations, ensuring efficient execution of maintenance and reliability activities.
The successful candidate will support maintenance teams, optimize plant reliability, and deliver cost-effective solutions.
About the Role
* Supervise critical maintenance tasks during shutdowns and maintenance windows, ensuring safe and timely completion.
* Assist and mentor the team as required in conducting maintenance and provide hands-on assistance.
* Liaise closely with Area Engineers, Shutdown Manager, Maintenance Planners, and process team to prioritize maintenance activities and reduce production impact.
* Liaise with maintenance planners and assist in work planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for major Maintenance windows.
* Conduct and lead investigations of break downs and safety incidents.
* Supervise and conduct visual inspections of work to ensure it meets required standards and specifications (QA/QC).
* Demonstrate full compliance with OHS and Environmental Management Systems' standards by developing and participating in initiatives, leading toolbox meetings, investigations, training, assisting with implementation, and participating in audits.
Requirements
* 5+ years in a maintenance supervision role within a heavy industrial environment.
* Comprehensive knowledge of fixed plant maintenance programs and systems, particularly incorporating mills, kilns, conveyors, gearboxes, and pumps.
* Relevant Trade Certificate - Mechanical or Boilermakers.
* Strong experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
* Section 26 certificate or ability to obtain.
* Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Programs such as excel and word.
* Solid Interpersonal, Verbal and Written Communication skills.
* Ability to develop and implement SWMS/JHA for safety compliance.
