Key Responsibilities

* Film Material and Sponsors visual Sourcing:
o Collect and organise film materials such as images, synopses, quotes, and trailers for festival promotion.
o Collect promotional visuals from the sponsors and the organising Alliances Françaises.
o Collect the marketing data from our campaigns to report to the sponsors.
o Ensure all materials meet branding and quality standards set by the Festival.
* Film Classification and Documentation:
o Obtain necessary film classifications from relevant authorities and ensure compliance with regulations.
o Collaborate with teachers to estimate appropriate age groups for school screenings.
* Communication:
o Maintain transparent communication channels to ensure all stakeholders are informed about promotional activities.
o Prepare and distribute national newsletters to keep stakeholders updated on festival news, film highlights, and special events.
o Assist in crafting compelling and engaging content for various marketing channels.
* Social Media Management:
o Actively manage and engage with national social media platforms to create a vibrant online community and promote the festival.
o Develop and execute social media content and strategies to increase audience engagement and reach.
* Website Maintenance:
o Update and maintain the festival's official website with accurate and up-to-date information regarding films, schedules, and related content.
o Collaborate with the web team to ensure the website is user-friendly and visually appealing.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Film Studies, or a related field preferred.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
* Knowledge of the film industry and a passion for French cinema.
* Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast‐paced environment.

Desired Skills

* Prior experience in film festival marketing or event promotion.
* Familiarity with graphic design software and basic image editing skills.
* Multilingual skills, especially in French, would be advantageous.
* Adaptability and a proactive attitude towards problem‐solving.
* A creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative marketing ideas.
* Resilience and composure when facing tight deadlines, unexpected challenges, and intense workloads.

Application Process

Conditions: Casual position, full time, 6 months

Starting date: 14/10/2024

Eligibility: To be eligible for employment you must be an Australian Citizen or a permanent resident of Australia, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to work unrestricted in Australia.

* Job Type: Fixed term
* Contract Length: 6 months
* Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
* Schedule: Monday to Friday
* Location: Sydney, NSW 2000 (Hybrid remote in Sydney, NSW 2000)
* Ability to commute/relocate: Sydney, NSW 2000: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
* Experience: Marketing: 2 years (preferred)
* Work Authorisation: Australia (required)
* Expected Start Date: 14/10/2024
