As a career coach, you will be working closely with clients to explore their career goals and aspirations. You will understand their strengths and help them develop tailored coaching plans to achieve meaningful employment.
You will also work with employers to understand their business needs and provide staffing solutions that genuinely fit. This includes delivering training, promoting inclusive hiring practices, keeping accurate records, and driving engagement through proactive networking.
Key responsibilities include:
* Source and create sustainable career opportunities for clients.
* Champion workforce diversity and inclusion, focusing on people with disability, injury, or health condition.
* Engage with employers to address skill shortages through role carving and inclusive recruitment.
* Broker work experience to build participant skills and assess employer-client compatibility.
* Prepare workplaces to support and retain participants via adjustments and disability confidence training.
* Facilitate employer training to boost disability awareness and inclusion.
* Build networks to create job opportunities for clients.
* Promote your services as a trusted provider supporting people with disability to achieve career goals.
* Meet performance benchmarks and exceed expectations.
About You
As a successful career coach, you are empathetic, energetic, and driven to make a difference. You may have experience or a genuine passion for employment services. You are confident in supporting people, building trust, and guiding them into fulfilling careers.
Essential Criteria
* Qualifications in Employment or Human Services – desirable
* Able to meet KPIs and manage workload effectively
* Strong understanding of employment barriers faced by people with disability, injury, or health conditions
* Skilled in providing tailored support and developing client-focused employment plans
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Valid Driver's License – essential
