Job Overview: This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the Coordinator TMR Contracts with various tasks, including programming, coordination, and contracts administration of contract works for the Operations Roads and Drainage team and Department of Transport and Main Roads. Key responsibilities include ensuring quality products, value for money, timely delivery, and the health and safety of staff with a strong focus on continuous improvement and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in developing TMR contracts operational workflow and managing activities to ensure efficiency to meet the demands of council's forward planning and maintenance activities.
* Manage contract administration and services to guarantee effective and efficient delivery of contracts for the Department of Transport and Main Roads and other minor contracts as required.
* Prepare procurement documentation for external contractor pricing, review responses prior to engagement for works and sub-contractor management and supervision.
* Provide technical support to the road maintenance delivery team and asset management team and facilitate the implementation of a mobile computing solution on TMR contracts.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess experience in administering Department of Main Roads, Road Maintenance Performance Contracts, as well as knowledge of project management principles and relevant contemporary practice and legislation. Practical experience in supervision and management of civil works contracts is also essential.
