As Service Leader, in the Rapid Response Team, you will specifically: * Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. * Conduct youth justice conferences, acting in authority under the Youth Justice Act 1992 and working within the principles of the Act. * Provide accreditation and trainee approval, supervision, coaching and mentoring to a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality restorative justice services in accordance with relevant legislative provisions, strategic priorities, statutory delegations, departmental policies, procedures, contemporary best practice and within a restorative justice framework. * Allocate, prioritise and quality assure restorative justice activities in accordance with departmental procedures and statutory delegations. * Support restorative justice conferencing service management teams by contributing to strategic and operational planning, reviews and key decision making across the state through the Rapid Response management team. * Provide timely advice and assistance on complex matters to ensure the delivery of quality restorative justice practices. * Actively participate in and, where appropriate, lead local area forums with government and non-government stakeholders, providing education and information on restorative justice conferencing services. * Assist in identifying trends and issues in client service delivery and evaluating client outcomes, including performance reporting, to ensure coordinated local service delivery. * Ensure appropriate workforce development including undertaking relevant recruitment, selection, accreditation and providing ongoing professional development and culturally appropriate supervision and leadership to staff. * Develop collaborative, professional relationships with relevant government and non-government agencies to ensure informed, integrated and holistic youth justice service delivery. * Contribute to a departmental culture that ensures sensitive and effective communication with people from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds as well as an appreciation of cultural protocols and an awareness of the impacts of historical policies and practices. Requirement to travel: it is a mandatory requirement of this role to be able to travel and work outside of hours whilst on deployment for up to 21 days at a time. Remuneration, or otherwise, for work performed outside the spread of hours will be determined in accordance with the applicable Award provisions. As travel is a requirement of this position, it is a requirement that the applicant hold a current 'C' Class Drivers licence. Applications to remain current for 12 months.
