Operations & Project Execution
• The role oversees all ExpoCentric projects delivered in Western Australia, ensuring each job is
executed to specification, on time, and within agreed budgets. This includes end-to-end
responsibility for job readiness, from pre-build preparation through to exhibition bump-in, live
show support, and pack-down.
• The Operations Manager attends exhibitions as required to supervise builds, resolve issues in real
time, and ensure ExpoCentric standards are upheld. When operational pressure requires it, the
role actively participates in physical tasks such as loading trucks, assembling stands, and
troubleshooting on-site issues.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
• The role manages the Perth warehouse and factory operations, ensuring all equipment, modular
systems, and assets are maintained in show-ready condition.
• Responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory records, overseeing equipment
maintenance and repairs, coordinating inbound and outbound freight, and ensuring materials
are packed, labelled, and dispatched correctly for each job.
• The Operations Manager ensures the warehouse operates efficiently, safely, and in alignment
with WHS obligations.
Logistics & Scheduling
• The role plans and coordinates all logistics for WA-based jobs, including freight movements,
labour scheduling, site access requirements, and bump-in/bump-out windows.
• This includes proactive coordination with venues, transport providers, and internal teams to
ensure no delays, omissions, or access issues impact delivery. The role is accountable for ensuring that materials, labour, and equipment arrive where they are needed, when they are
needed.
People & Labour Management
• The Operations Manager manages all Perth-based factory labour and on-site crews. This
includes allocating resources, briefing teams on build plans and timelines, setting expectations,
and monitoring performance.
• The role ensures WHS compliance across warehouse and site operations and addresses
performance, conduct, or safety issues promptly and decisively.
Suppliers & Contractors
• The role manages all external suppliers used in WA, including freight providers, labour hire,
fabricators, printers, AV suppliers, and other specialist contractors.
• Responsibilities include sourcing and onboarding new suppliers when required, negotiating
costs, monitoring quality and timelines, and ensuring suppliers meet ExpoCentric standards. The
role is accountable for supplier performance and cost control within WA operations.
Client & Internal Communication
• The Operations Manager acts as the primary Perth-based point of contact for Sydney Account
Managers, providing clear, proactive updates on job progress, risks, and outcomes.
• The role attends client meetings when required and represents ExpoCentric professionally onsite. Clear communication with Sydney is essential to ensure alignment between sales, design,
and delivery.
Shows, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
• The role attends WA exhibitions to document delivered stands, capturing photographs and
operational notes. Post-show reporting includes sharing photos, learnings, and
recommendations with the broader business.
• The Operations Manager is expected to actively identify improvements, efficiencies, and costsaving opportunities to support scalability and operational maturity in Perth.
